The Road

This road was in use until only a few years ago. Vegetation is breaking through the tarmac and encroaching on the sides making it difficult to drive along in summer; left unattended trees will root in cracks in the tarmac and very soon little visible will remain.

"The Road" is also the title of an post-apocalyptic 2006 novel by American writer Cormac McCarthy.
