River Thames, London
![]()
Remains of old docks and moorings. The foreshore is a rich source of artefacts - pre-historic tools and weapons;
medieval fish-traps; wharves, jetties, causeways and stairs; river defences; industrial sites; boatyards and vessels
have all been found.

6x9cm pinhole photograph on Fuji Reala taken with Monbetsu 65, pigment print on Hahnemuehle Baryta. "All that glisters [=glitters] is not gold" (visible on the banners hanging in front of the building) is a quote from William Shakespeare's 'Merchant of Venice'. The meaning is smart packaging doesn't mean the contents are necessarily all that great. Digital pinhole photograph on Lumix GX1 superimposed on title page of a 1967 Japanese version of The Merchant of Venice, pigment print on Hahnemuehle Photo Rag |
